Tommy R Carr, Pastor
Graduated from University of West Florida with a BA in Broadcast Journalism; MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary. Tommy has been in the pastorate since 1982. He has served in churches in Quincy FL, Garden City GA, and FPC of Demopolis. He is married to Elaine Cook Carr who is a teacher in the Demopolis City School System. They have two children: Mathew (Shannon) Carr and Erin Carr. They have one grandchild: Avery Elisabeth Carr and Ella Caroline Carr.
John Douglas McNutt, Youth Director/Evangelist
Doug graduated from Covenant College with a BA in English and Beeson Divinity School (Samford University with a MDiv. He came to Demopolis in 2005 and began work as the Youth Director and Evangelist. He is married to Kelly (Kirkpatrick) McNutt and they have four children: Moses, Makenna Grace and Miriam Rebekah (Mia) and Genevieve.
J. Cloyde Williams, Music Director
Cloyde has been music director at FPC since 1990. He is a graduate of Julliard and Columbia University Teachers College. He was Principal Clarinet with the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra for 31 years and also, Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota for 31 years.
Eloise Harris, Organist
Eloise began taking piano in the 2nd grade. She took organ lessons at Forbes Piano Co. in Montgomery, AL in the 10th grade. She has been the church organist since 1966. She retired from a Federal government job after 26 years in 1996.
Bernice Cork, Pianist
Bernice began taking piano when she was 10 years old. She later took lessons at college from Dr. James Patrenos. She plays for many local events such as Christmas on the River, Demopolis Singers, Canebrake Players Productions, Music Study Club, Demopolis High School Choirs and Ensembles, Christmas at the Canebrake at Bluff Hall. Besides accompanying services at FPC, she plays at St Mark's Episcopal Church in Boligee, Alabama once a month. The "highlight" of her life was when she played in front of hundreds at the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park on the 4th of July, 2002. She is a retired school teacher. She enjoys mountain climbing and biking with her husband, Mike.
Karen Lashley, Administrative Assistant
Karen has been the AA at FPC since 1989. Prior to that she did medical transcription for 22 years. She is very active in the WIC serving in many officer positions and served one term as the Warrior Presbytery PresWIC president and currently as secretary. She sings in the choir and has taught in the children's ministry for many years. She serves on the Missions Committee. She is married to Alan Lashley and has two daughters; Elizabeth Lashley and Angie (James) Solliday. She has one grandchild, Madison Brooke Solliday.
