Andy and Bev Warren began their missionary service with Mission to the World in 1982. Since 1996, the Warrens have served in Ethiopia where Andy is the team leader for a MTW church-planting team in the capital, Addis Ababa. The team ministers to people affected by AIDS as their platform for reaching the city.
The Warrens minister in the Lideta and Bole areas of Addis Ababa, some of the poorest sections of one of the poorest cities in the world. By providing food, shelter, medical care, counseling and orphan care, MTW has become an important part of these communities.
The work has also grown to include other outreaches, including expanded children and youth ministry and caring for people with tuberculosis. The work is also expanding into new communities with an emphasis on planting gospel-centered churches.
The Warrens have four children: Cooper and Hannah (5-15-82), Asher (3-12-87), and Kit (4-22-91)
