Beth Acton

Beth Acton’s home church is Crescent Hill PCA and Woodland Heights PCA in Selma, Alabama. Beth has been serving in Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators for the past 20 years. She has been engaged in Bible Translation for the Saposa people who dedicated their New Testament in October, 2001. She has also served many other PNG language groups by training them to do Bible Translation and Literacy in their own areas. She continues to work with her colleague, Joy Ayabe to empower Papua New Guineans with the written Word of God. Please pray for the 2nd module of the STEP (Strengthening Tokples (vernacular) Education in PNG) Course where Beth and Joy will be training nationals from 8 different language groups to establish literacy programs in their own languages. Beth is currently as Associate Director for the SIL-PNG Branch. SIL-PNG has recently dedicated their 150th New Testament in PNG and will celebrate 50 years in PNG as an organization in 2006. (Wycliffe Bible Translators is know as SIL overseas.)
